Step-by-step guide
How to Pay Your Colombian Visa Study Fee — Step by Step
When you apply for a Colombian visa, the Cancillería asks you to pay a study fee of about US$50–55, in Colombian pesos, within a few days. If your card is declined or you have no Colombian bank, we can pay it for you. This page shows what to have ready and exactly what to type in each box of our form.
Have these ready before you start
- The email the Cancillería sent you about your visa application. Check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
- Your reference number from that email — a long number, usually 15 digits.
- The amount in Colombian pesos shown on the Cancillería payment page (usually around 195.000 to 220.000 pesos).
- The email address you used on your visa application.
- Your passport.
How to fill in the form
- 1
Open the payment form
Press "Start with the study fee" on this page. The form opens with "Colombian visa — study fee" already chosen and the Cancillería already filled in. - 2
Page 1: tell us who you are
Your full name as it is on your passport, an email you check every day, your WhatsApp number starting with + and your country code (USA and Canada: +1), your passport number, and your country. Press Next. - 3
Page 2: the amount in pesos
Type the amount in pesos exactly as the Cancillería shows it. It is a big number like 209.333 — not 52. Under the box we show it back to you with the dollar value, so you can check it. - 4
Page 2: the reference number
Copy the long number from your Cancillería email. Check it twice — this is how we find your payment. - 5
Page 2: your application email
If you applied for the visa with a different email address than the one on page 1, type it in the "Email on your visa application" box. Otherwise leave it empty. Press Next. - 6
Page 3: check and pay
Read everything once more. If something is wrong, press Back and fix it. When it is right, press "Submit & Proceed to Payment" and pay with your card on our secure page. - 7
We pay and send you the receipt
A person on our team checks your order, pays the Cancillería on Colombian payment rails, and sends you the official receipt (comprobante).

Common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

|---|---|
| Typing the amount in dollars (for example 52) | Type the amount in pesos from the payment page (for example 209.333). |
| Leaving out digits from the reference number | Copy the whole number from the Cancillería email — it is usually 15 digits. |
| Typing the word "link" in the payment link box | Paste the full address, or leave the box empty. The reference number is enough. |
| Starting a second order to fix a mistake | Use the chat button at the bottom of the page instead — we correct your existing order so you are not charged twice. |
